About Us

Our love story

We are proud Italian wedding celebrants who have been married for over 20 years! We had our own Italian wedding ceremony in Florence, Italy in the historic Old Palace.  It was so memorable!  All our close family and friends stayed at a local farmhouse for 2 days of celebrating Italian style, and everyone still talks about our wedding in Tuscany to this day!
Below is more information about each of us, we’re very different and that’s probably why we’ve been together so long in work and in life.

Authentic Italian wedding celebrants

As an authentic Italian from Rome, I am proud when couples choose Wedding Celebrants Italy and my country to celebrate their big day.  I am surprised at how far people travel to get married, although I cannot blame them for choosing Italy!

Experience as a wedding celebrant in Italy

I have been officiating weddings in English since 2006 and each one is very special to me.  First, I set up a meeting with you to talk about how the ceremony will unfold.  Second, we compose your ceremony together, adding readings and rituals.  Most of all, I want to make sure you are comfortable with my voice and personality.
Finally, I am always available to add a little Italian touch to the ceremony, in addition to my pizza English, lol.

Ask me anything about wedding ceremonies in Italy

I am happy to give you tips on how to set up the wedding ceremony area.  For example, we may need a small table for a unity candle or for certificate signing, or you may need a p.a. system for readers.  I am happy to perform any special rituals and rites such as handfasting and unity candle lighting, wine box sealing, etc.  I have officiated many interfaith ceremonies, too, working with clergy to develop a meaningful script.  It is an honor to create a meaningful symbolic and religious ceremony all in one.

Ordained Wedding Officiant in Italy

I am an ordained wedding officiant from California who has been working in the Italian wedding industry for 20 years. I have assisted couples getting married all over Italy, in Tuscany, Venice, Lake Como and Lake Garda, Amalfi Coast, Rome, Sardinia, Cinque Terre … practically everywhere!

Personalized wedding ceremonies in Italy

I write all of our wedding ceremonies personally and customize each one based on feedback from our meetings and answers from a questionnaire you send us.  In short, each wedding ceremony is unique!  Moreover, I give you inspirational material for ideas and samples from ceremonies we have performed in the past so you have an idea about our style and what other couples have done for their own wedding ceremony.

All-inclusive wedding ceremonies in Italy

We are all-inclusive and open to performing any special moments you would to add like lighting a unity candle, sharing salt, sealing a wine box ceremony, and other rites that may be part of your cultural heritage.  Additionally, for more spiritual couples I am happy to conduct interfaith ceremonies or add readings and wording with religious meaning.

PuppyraisersOur commitment to our Italian community

When we are off-duty from wedding celebrants in Italy, we are volunteer puppy raisers for the National Guide Dogs for the Blind Training School in Florence, Italy.  We host a golden retriever breeder named Googie., which means we take care of all the puppies she may have for the first 60 days after birth – that’s a lot of puppies in the house!  She had 3 litters for a total of 15 pups, some became guide dogs while others became pet therapy dogs at the Meyer Children’s Hospital in Florence and at the Florence Center for Autistic Children.

How We Work

3 Easy Steps to a wedding ceremony in Italy

  1. You receive a timeline, a questionnaire, and links to our library for inspirational ceremonies and readings.  This way you choose how you would like your own wedding ceremony to sound, add rituals you might like, and include other fun stuff like readings and special music.
  2.  We compose a draft ceremony script from your questionnaires and set up a meeting with you to discuss.
  3.  You receive the final script for approval to consolidate set up, readers, music, and any rituals.  Everything is ready to go 30 days before your event date.

Extra help for your Italian wedding ceremony

We give you all the help you need on important elements, such as:

  • Your personal wedding vows
  • Readings and music to fit the mood you want  for your ceremony
  • Special rituals such as lighting a Unity Candle, the Wine Ceremony, Handfasting
  • Rehearsal, processional, and recessional coordination

We arrive an hour before starting time to set up and liaise with musicians, photographers, and p.a. system staff for mic checks. We also double check with your contact person for any last minute changes to your wedding ceremony.

A Gift from Wedding Celebrants Italy
