As professional wedding celebrants in Italy, we are focused on the well-being of all couples who come to us for a consultation. Since it is most likely your first time hiring a wedding officiant, you want to make sure that we align with your vision. Knowing what to ask us is important, and that’s why we always set up an online meeting to discuss your plans for your Italian wedding ceremony..

In the meantime, here are some of the most frequently asked questions from couples who have inquired about our services.

1 What kinds of ceremonies do you perform?

We are specialized in symbolic weddings, vow renewals, elopements, and occasionally we provide services for civil ceremonies.

2 Will you be able to create a personalized ceremony?

Every single ceremony we create is customized to reflect you both as a couple. The process begins with a questionnaire and interview, then we work together to fine tune the words you want to hear on your special day. The ceremony script is performed only upon your approval of the final version - no surprises!

3 Can we include personally written vows during the ceremony?

We love personal vows! This is when the tears of love and joy flow freely and it is the moment your guests travelled all the way to Italy to witness. We offer our expertise to assist you in writing your vows and coaching so you can practice before the big day.

4 How long does the ceremony typically last?

There are ceremonies where couples say their I do’s, kiss, and head off to the party after 10 minutes, and couples who add readings and sing-alongs with guests to spend an hour in a breathtaking ceremony venue experience (like the San Galgano Abbey). On average, a symbolic wedding ceremony lasts 20-30 minutes depending on the length of your personal vows, the number of readings, and whether you include other special moments.

5 Do you have any examples of ceremonies you have performed?

We provide you with access to our extensive library of materials where you will find sample ceremonies we have written and performed, sample readings couples have chosen, a selection of common wedding rituals, and music playlists.

6 Do you have any videos performing a ceremony?

7 Can you marry us at our villa?

Symbolic ceremonies in Italy can be held just about anywhere! If you are renting a private villa, ask your host if you can hold a ceremony on the grounds and we are happy to liaise with them to discuss logistics and details.

8 How many weddings have you officiated?

Close to a thousand over twenty years covering destination weddings in Italy.

9 How many pre-wedding sessions will we have?

We communicate with you mainly by email and we are happy to schedule online calls as needed. You will find that planning a destination wedding takes up a good part of your time and energy outside of your daily life (job, family, fitness, etc.). We are sensitive to how overwhelmed you may feel, so we nudge you occasionally if we see that your date is approaching and there is still work to do on your ceremony script.

10 Do you do rehearsals?

We are happy to manage rehearsal either in person or remotely as a service we charge separately for.
